China-Central and Eastern Europe Energy Cooperation Forum was Opened

China-Central and Eastern Europe Energy Cooperation Forum was convened in Zagreb, capital of Croatia from 17th to 19th October, 2019. More than 160 representatives from the national energy authorities, energy and power enterprises, research and financial institutions of China and Central and Eastern Europe attended the forum.

As the main organizer of this forum, China Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute, a subsidiary of Energy China, delivered a keynote speech of “The Cooperation and Outlook on China-Central and Eastern Renewable Energy”, to introduce the industry status and development planning of China renewable energy, analyze the industry status and development potential of Central and Eastern Europe renewable energy and propose the outlook for bilateral cooperation in the future.

During the forum, representatives from China and Central and Eastern Europe delivered speeches regarding the supporting policies, development planning and the best practice of the national clean energy development in China and Central and Eastern Europe. The representatives also participated in the conversations and discussions on the power generation capability, incentive policy, investment & financing and business cooperation modality of China-Central and Eastern Europe in the sector of national wind power and photovoltaic power.

It was understood that China-Central and Eastern Europe national energy project conversation and cooperation center (“17+1”) was founded in October, 2006. China Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute was the secretariat from Chinese side.
