Chinese First National Standard and Code, “The Code of Offshore Wind Power Plant Design (GB/T 51308-2019)”, edited by Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute (GEDI), has been officially published by China Planning Press and will be put into effect on Oct 1st, 2019. This code is leading the international advanced level.

The code consists of 18 chapters including general information, wind energy resources, power system, overall design, electrical engineering, architecture and structure, and etc.

The release of this national standard will provide better guidance to the design of offshore wind power plant in China, leading to promotion of normalization and standardization of offshore wind power plant design, making full use of the offshore wind energy and ensure the operation safety of offshore wind power plant.
