On July 14th, Unit 4 of Guangzhou Third Resources Thermal Power Plant in Guangdong Province, China, which was built, installed and commissioned by Energy China, was officially put into operation.

The project is the first power plant in China built on a high fill slope. It is equipped with six 750-ton/cupola grate waste incinerators with associated flue gas purification systems, four 25-megawatt direct air-cooled condensing steam turbines and four 25-megawatt air-cooled generators. The operation hours of the project reaches to 8000 hours/year while the domestic waste disposal capacity is 4000 tons/day in average.

The success of project delivery and operation is reducing the operation pressure undertaken by municipal solid waste landfill in Guangzhou, and leading the waste disposal into more reduced, harmless and recycled.
