Energy China’s Subsidiary CGGC Signed the Contract of the NZILO 2 Hydroelectric Project in Congo
On September 18 local time, China Gezhouba Group (CGGC), a subsidiary of Energy China, signed an EPC agreement for the development and implementation of NZILO 2 Hydroelectric Project with Congo Infra SA in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The project is located on the Lualaba River (tributary of the Congo River) near the city of Kolwezi in the province of Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, approximately 40 kilometers from the city of Kolwezi, with a total installed capacity of 122.2 MW and a contract price of $360 million.

Previously, China Gezhouba Group has undertaken a number of energy and infrastructure projects in the Democratic Republic of the Congo including Inga diversion canal construction and Zongge and Libengai power supply.
