Designed by Energy China (@EnergyChinaNews), the unit 1 of Dongying Power Station, which is located in east China's Shandong Province, was commissioned on November 11th. This is the first six-cylinder six-exhaust steam turbine in the world. With a number of innovated technologies, the project further reduces coal consumption for generating power. Environmental protection facilities such as desulfurization, denitrification, ash removal, dust removal and sewage treatment were equipped, so the emission concentrations of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide and soot are all lower than China's national ultra-low emission standards. It also achieves zero waste water discharge. Besides, the project uses seawater desalination technology, which can save more than 2 million tons of fresh water every year.
