Houay Lamphan Gnai Downstream Hydropower Station Project, contracted by China Gezhouba Group, a subsidiary of Energy China (@EnergyChinaNews), was officially impounded on September 3. Located in Muang Lamam, Sekong, Laos, the station will effectively improve the utilization rate of water resources. Covering 380 square kilometers, it has a maximum storage capacity of 73.9 million cubic meters with the total installed capacity of 15 MW. The construction of the power station has provided local residents with a large number of employment opportunities and will improve the living conditions of local residents. Once put into operation, it will provide high-quality energy for the four southern provinces of Laos to promote their economic and social development.
