Unit 6 of the Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant was Put Into Operation
Unit 6 of the Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant was put into operation on June 2. Energy China is responsible for the design, construction and installation of the conventional island and the BOP. This power plant is located in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, China. The installed capacity of the Unit 6 is 1118MW. The Unit 5 was already put into operation last year.

After being put into operation, compared to the coal-fired power plant, it will save 5.2 million tons of coal annually, which means it will reduce 13.56 million tons of CO2 emission and 45000 tons of SO2 emission (equivalent to 340 km2 of afforestation).
