Recently, designed by Energy China, the Phase I of the Photovoltaic Power Project (200MW) at the Dingzhuang Reservoir in Dezhou, Shandong Province, China was connected to the grid. It has the world's largest array capacity -- 4 MW and 8 MW. Based on the topographic characteristics of the mid-lake island, we creatively designed the large array as a sunbird. The project is also equipped with a floating body monitoring system, an automatic component cleaning system , an unmanned aerial vehicle inspection center and other advanced technology.

The total capacity of the whole Photovoltaic Power Project at the Dingzhuang Reservoir is 320 MW. After completion, it will be the largest floating photovoltaic power station in the world, generating about 221 million kWh of electricity annually. It will also save 67,700 tons of coal, and reduce 217,700 tons of CO2 emissions, 6500 tons of SO2 emissions as well as 59,400 tons of soot.
