CEEC held a collective signing event at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on November 7, sealing deals worth a whopping 17.99 billion US dollars.
During the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE), CEEC inked contracts with partners totaling over 3 billion US dollars, up over 56.01% from last year, hitting a record high.
At the signing ceremony, CEEC subsidiaries China Energy International Group Co., Ltd., Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., and Shanxi Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd., and companies such as General Electric Company from the United States, Siemens Energy from Germany, and Nooter/Eriksen S.r.l signed procurement agreements for gas turbines, main equipment, waste heat boilers, and other equipment.
The event was also joined by He Jiansheng, CEEC General Legal Advisor and Chairman of Supervisory Board of CEEC.
The CIIE, the world's first national-level exhibition focused on imports, has become a showcase of China’s new development paradigm, a platform for high-standard opening-up, and a public good for the whole world.
Leveraging this platform, CEEC actively embodies the vision of "turning the China market into a market for the world, a market shared by all, and a market accessible to all," fostering international exchanges and cooperation.
This year marks the seventh consecutive year for CEEC's delegation to participate in the CIIE. Over the years, CEEC has steadily boosted its deals y-o-y, with a cumulative contract value of nearly 9 billion US dollars.
As the CIIE continues to thrive, the ripple effects of the expo are becoming increasingly evident. During last year's CIIE, CEEC and Siemens Energy inked a strategic partnership agreement, leading to a deepening collaboration between the two entities.
In June this year, CEEC and Siemens Energy teamed up to construct the world's largest modern and efficient gas-fired power plant in Saudi Arabia, boasting a total installed capacity of nearly 4 gigawatts, aimed at reshaping the local energy landscape heavily reliant on oil.
At the 2021 CIIE, Shanxi Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd. and Siemens Energy sealed a deal for the procurement of wind turbine equipment. Over 100 wind turbine units purchased were successfully integrated into various projects in Vietnam, including onshore wind farms such as the Gia LaiHung Hai 100MW project, the Gia Lai 300MW project, and the Ninh Thuan 117MW project, as well as the Tan Thuan 90MW offshore wind power project. Among these, the Gia Lai 300MW wind power project stands out as Vietnam's largest onshore wind power project, generating an annual electricity output of 900 million kilowatt-hours.
Over 100 representatives from renowned domestic and international companies, signatories, and media participated in the event.
