On November 11thlocal time, construction reached a major milestone at the 2GW Haden PV project in Saudi Arabia, as the first pile foundation for PV plant was successfully completed. Shortly afterward, work began on excavating the control center, and the first concrete pour for the substation 1 was carried out. These milestones signify the project’s full transition into an accelerated phase of on-site execution.
The 2GW Haden PV Project is located in the Haden area of Taif, Mecca Province, Saudi Arabia. Jointly constructed by CHINA ENERGY INTERNATIONAL GROUP, Guangdong Power Engineering Corporation, and Northwest Electric Power Design Institute. This marks another significant PV project undertaken by China Energy Engineering in Saudi Arabia, following the successful completion of the 2.6GW Saudi Al-Shubah PV Project. As a significant component of Saudi Arabia's " renewable energy initiative, this project will accelerate the transformation and upgrading of Saudi Arabia's energy structure.
