Successful Synchronization Achieved for Indonesia IKN 50MW PV+14MWh Energy Storage EPC Project

On November 22 local time, Indonesia IKN 50MW PV+14MWh energy storage EPC project, jointly contracted by China Energy Engineering Group Shanxi Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd.SEPECand ZTPI, successfully achieved synchronization.

The project is the first integrated PV and energy storage project in Indonesia's new capital, Nusantara, as well as the country's first mountain-based PV project. The total installed capacity is approximately 70MW, with a 20MW/14MWh energy storage system and a 150 kV substation. The total construction area is about 70 hectares.

Since the project's commencement on August 5, the project team has actively advanced localized management, innovatively combining the advantages of spiral pipe piles and aluminum alloy brackets in construction, precisely allocating resources, and strictly controlling progress and quality. The team overcame challenges such as local resource shortages, variable mountain climate, complex terrain, and high localization requirements, successfully achieving the set goals and completing grid connection and power generation.

The successful synchronization of the project has enhanced the sustainability of local energy supply, supported Indonesia's green energy transition, and effectively promoted cooperation between China and Indonesia in the fields of renewable energy and infrastructure construction, contributing to green development under the Belt and Road Initiative.
