Transmitting Power: Has Cumulatively Transmitted Over 100 Billion kWh

Recently, Butuo Converter Station, the sending terminal of the ±800kV ultra-high-voltage direct current (UHVDC) transmission project from Baihetan to Jiangsu and Zhejiang, designed in part by Southwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. of China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited (CEEC), has cumulatively transmitted over 100 billion kWh of clean electricity from Sichuan to East China.

Butuo Converter Station is the world's largest converter station, with a rated transmission capacity of 16 GW. It can fully utilize the clean electricity generated by Baihetan Hydropower Station at full load, making it one of the most critical sending terminals for China's "West-to-East Power Transmission Program" . The station's daily maximum transmission exceeds 360 million kWh.
