CEEC's subsidiary China Gezhouba Group Co., Ltd. (CGGC), in partnership with CEEC Xinjiang Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd, commenced the construction of the 33.3 MW Shieli photovoltaic project in Kazakhstan on October 23.
Located in the southwest of Kazakhstan, this project is the first new energy EPC project undertaken by CEEC in Kazakhstan.
China Gezhouba Group Electric Power Co., Ltd, a CGGC subsidiary, is responsible for the specific implementation of the project, which includes a DC-side photovoltaic power station and a 35 kV/220 kV step-up substation. The project construction is set to be completed within 9 months, with the power being connected to the local grid through short-distance transmission lines.
The successful implementation of this project lays a solid foundation for CEEC to accelerate its layout in the new energy market in Kazakhstan.
Once completed, the project will greatly promote the development and utilization of local clean energy, effectively alleviate the pressure on environmental protection in the region, and open up new growth points for local economic development.
It will also strongly promote the rapid development of local industries such as building materials and transportation, thus playing a significant role in driving local economic growth.
As a power engineering company specializing in energy and electricity construction, China Gezhouba Group Electric Power Co., Ltd. is actively leveraging its expertise to expand into markets of countries along the Belt and Road route.
