On November 22, CEEC China Gezhouba Group won the bid for the civil works of Section 9 of Kenitra-Marrakech High-Speed Rail in Morocco. This marks the company's formal entry into the overseas high-speed rail construction sector.
The Kenitra-Marrakech High-Speed Rail Project is an important part of Morocco's North-South Corridor, with a total length of 430 kilometers and a designed operational speed of 320 km/h. The project is divided into ten construction sections, and China Gezhouba Group secured the bid for Section 9, which has a construction period of 33 months and follows French and Moroccan standards.
Once completed, the Project will contribute to the country's economic development, improve connectivity between major cities, and provide transportation support for the 2030 FIFA World Cup to be held in Morocco.
