CEEC Attends Second China International Supply Chain Expo

The second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) kicked off in Beijing on November 26. CEEC has continued to actively participate in the expo, contributing to promoting the thriving development of the clean energy industry and keeping the global industrial and supply chains stable and unclogged.

Before the opening ceremony of the CISCE, CEEC Chairman Song Hailiang attended upon invitation a welcome ceremony and delivered a speech.

Song said transformation of a scale not seen in a century is accelerating across the world, and keeping global supply and industrial chains secure and stable faces formidable challenges.

President Xi Jinping has attached great importance to keeping global industrial and supply chains open and stable, and highlighted that China would deepen international cooperation on industrial and supply chains with concrete actions, the chairman added.

Hosting the CISCE with high standards and quality represents a strategic initiative to follow the trends of the times, Song noted, adding that this has created a new platform for deepening exchanges and cooperation on and promoting the stable development of global supply and industrial chains, and promoted mutual benefit and win-win cooperation among global enterprises. This has also generated spillover effects of the CISCE, adding more certainty to an uncertain world, according to him.

As an innovation-driven enterprise focusing on technology, energy, infrastructure and integrated development, CEEC has understood the significance of the CISCE and actively boarded the "express train" of the expo to participate in global industrial and supply chains for a better future, Song said.

He noted that over the past year, CEEC has established partnerships with over 100 domestic and international enterprises through the CISCE, secured contracts exceeding $50 billion yuan, and launched landmark projects including the offshore wind power project in South Korea and gas turbine developments in Saudi Arabia by following the principle of meeting partners' demands while leveraging the company's advantages and both sides' consensus for win-win cooperation.

These achievements marked a new chapter in the high-quality development of CEEC that centers on new energy, new infrastructure, new industry and new materials, the chairman said.

Song pointed out that as an active participant in and a direct beneficiary of the CISCE, CEEC has felt the vibrant vitality and powerful connectivity of the expo. Looking to the future, the group will thoroughly implement its four core development concepts of innovation, greenness, digital intelligence and integration, and turn supply chains into chains of win-win cooperation at an accelerated pace, the chairman said.

Song noted that CEEC will focus on strong links to boost innovation. It will fully gather quality innovation resources and elements, and spare no effort to establish multiple high-level innovation and R&D centers and platforms in the world. It will also systematically create an enabling environment for innovation, vigorously promote the integrated development of "the government, enterprises, universities, research institutes, end-users and financial institutions", continuously consolidate and upgrade innovation and industrial chains, accelerate the cultivation and development of new quality productive forces, and comprehensively enhance the driving force of innovation and creation.

Song said CEEC will also focus on extensive links to promote large-scale cooperation. The group will go all out to establish "four alliances," namely, a "new energy, new infrastructure, new industry" alliance, a new-type energy storage innovation alliance, a supply chain alliance, and an overseas new energy investment alliance.

Focusing on green and low-carbon global energy transition, the group will actively establish closer and more robust cooperative relationships with enterprises of all sizes both at home and abroad in upstream and downstream sectors, expand its "circle of friends," and comprehensively enhance win-win cooperation, he noted.

In addition, CEEC will focus on deep links to deepen comprehensive integration, Song added. With a focus on the integrated energy development, it will accelerate collaboration with leading companies, the use of complementary advantages and value-driven approaches.

According to Song, CEEC will continuously explore new models, scenarios, ecosystems, and value chains in integrated development, including transportation-energy integration, data-energy integration, construction-energy integration and industry-energy integration, as well as the "integration of eight networks" in energy, transportation, digital sector, water, ecology, industry, health and culture in urban areas.

CEEC Chief Accountant Li Lina attended the opening ceremony upon invitation.

At this year's CISCE, the China Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute, a subsidiary of CEEC, held a symposium on achievements in the clean energy chain themed on "green electricity consumption and electricity-carbon coupling: new business models and technologies driving green transition of the supply chain." The symposium brought together industry leaders in green power and green electricity certificate, virtual power plants, and energy blockchain to have in-depth discussions on frontiers and hotspot issues. They shared insights, contributing their wisdom and strength to the green transition of the supply chain.

CEEC's exhibition booth at the clean energy chain exhibition area of the CISCE is themed on "Green Digital Intelligence - Integrated New Quality Linking a Better Future." The booth showcased the group's vision and actions on jointly building a beautiful world by leveraging its full industry chain advantages in the clean energy sector, accelerating the development of strategic emerging industries and future industries and developing new quality productive forces through a sand table of the "integration of eight networks", models of high-altitude wind and solar thermal power generation, and a sand table of compressed air energy storage and integrated hydrogen energy.

Connecting the world for a shared future, CEEC will fully participate in international cooperation in the global industrial and supply chains and follow its approach of "going out, stepping in, integrating in, and achieving high integration" in its international operations to contribute its wisdom and strength in building an open world economy and building a community with a shared future for mankind.
