The Nishon Potovoltaic Project Has Obtained the ECOD Certificate for the First Phase of 200MW

The Nishon photovoltaic project in Uzbekistan, which is contracted by Energy China, has obtained the ECOD certificate for the first phase of 200MW.

On March 13, the first phase of the 200 MW PV project in Nishon, Uzbekistan, which was contracted by NEEPDI of Energy China and Tianjin Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd, was successfully tested and awarded the ECOD certificate, meaning the first phase of 200 MW successfully entered the commercial operation stage.

The project is located 28 km north of Nishon district of Kashkadarya and about 52 km from Karsi, the capital of the state. According to the current plan, the DC side of the project has a capacity of 603.519 MW, and 500MW on the AC side- with a capacity ratio of about 1.2, and the project plans to use the model 575 solar cell peak power monocrystalline bifacial photovoltaic modules, flat single-axis tracking brackets, 8800 kVA centralized box inverter integrated machine, and a new 220 kV booster station. The project is an important investment project of Energy China in Uzbekistan, which is committed to promoting the development of local green energy, reducing dependence on fossil energy, and optimizing the energy structure.

The project was signed and witnessed by the President of Uzbekistan and the Chinese Entrepreneurs Roundtable at the 2023 Central Asia Summit, which is of great significance for promoting high-quality Belt and Road cooperation between China and Uzbekistan and promoting green cooperation and development.
