Both sides had exchanges on further strengthening cooperation in the global market and accelerating the implementation of major projects.

During the talks, Song first welcomed Abunayyan and the delegation he led and then briefed Abunayyan on CEEC’s development advantages and its cooperation with ACWA Power.

Noting that as an innovation-driven enterprise focusing on technology, energy, infrastructure and integrated development, he said CEEC is accelerating its four major transformations towards innovation-driven, green and low-carbon, digital, as well as shared and integrated development, and building platforms for new energy, new infrastructure, new industry, and new materials in a systematic manner.

ACWA Power is one of the biggest overseas clients that CEEC has, with a significant scale of cooperation and substantial resource investment. Over the past few years, the teams from both sides have collaborated closely on various major projects in areas such as photovoltaic, wind power, gas turbine, and seawater desalination, Song said.

He emphasized that CEEC will leverage its advantages in top-level design, planning and consulting as a national think tank, and its expertise in energy technology, standards, integration and innovation, integrated industrial chain, comprehensiveness and integration, industrial and new quality productive forces, internationalization, resource integration, as well as cultivation of versatile talents.

Moving forward, CEEC will adhere to the concept of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, focus on key countries and key projects, and deepen cooperation with ACWA Power in new energy, hydrogen energy, energy storage, gas turbine, and grid planning to establish a more effective communication and negotiation mechanism, Song noted.

Both sides need to work together, and empower each other to expand the global market, share development achievements, and promote global production capacity cooperation and green, low-carbon development, he said.

Abunayyan extended his thanks to CEEC for its longstanding support. He emphasized that ACWA Power values CEEC as a key strategic partner, and their collaboration has yielded fruitful results and forged a strong bond.

With a clear development plan and notable strengths, CEEC presents promising prospects for partnership, the chairman said, adding that ACWA Power is committed to establishing a durable, mutually beneficial, and win-win relationship with CEEC.

He also called on both sides to focus on the goal of green and low-carbon development and explore opportunities in new energy, green hydrogen, energy storage, gas turbine, and other sectors in the global market to efficiently advance major projects, and seek to co-create value, share benefits, and jointly lead the global energy transition.
