A consortium composed of two CEEC subsidiaries, namely, CPECC Jiangsu Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd. and China Energy International Group Co., Ltd., recently won the bid for the first large-scale floating solar project in the Philippines - an EPC contract for the NKS floating solar project in Lake Caliraya.
Situated in Lake Caliraya, Lumban City, Laguna Province, the Philippines, the project boasts a capacity of 130 megawatts. The consortium's responsibilities encompass the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the entire floating solar power plant and the medium-voltage AC transmission system.
Upon completion, the project is anticipated to yield around 200 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. It will deliver substantial environmental and economic benefits to the local community, reduce carbon emissions, drive economic growth, and propel the Philippines towards a sustainable energy future.
