On April 3rd, the commencement ceremony for Chirchiq 100 MW/200 MWh Energy Storage Power Plant Project in Tashkent Region, Uzbekistan, which is undertaken by China Energy Construction Group, was held.

The Project is located in Chirchiq Town, Tashkent Region, about 50 kilometers away from the city center, and the site area is approximately 5 hectares. The Project is equipped with a 100 MW/200 MWh energy storage system, and a new 220kV step-up substation will be built.

The Project will effectively improve the safety and stability of the local power grid after its completion.
