Labrador 160MW Solar Power Plant Main Transformer Installed

On June 15, two main transformers for the Labrador 160MW solar power plant in Province of Pangasinan, Luzon Island, the Philippines, were successfully installed. China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. (Energy China GEDI)serves as the EPC contractor for this project.

The project includes a 160MW photovoltaic field, a 230kV substation, two 230kV transmission lines that span eight kilometers, access roads, and modifications to the adjacent Bolo substation. A consortium comprised of GEDI and its subsidiary, GEDIConstructionDevelopmentCorporation, is responsible for the design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and performance testing of the project.

Once completed, the project is expected to generate about 230 million kWh of clean electricity annually, providing stable and reliable energy to the local community. This initiative will contribute to the Philippines' efforts to achieve energy transformation and sustainable development goals.
