Biovea 46MW Biomass Power Plant Executed by CEEC: Boiler Hydrostatic Test of Unit #2 Achieved First-Time Success

On 23 June, Biovea 46MW Biomass Power Plant Project executed by CEEC on EPC turnkey basis achieved the first-time success of Boiler Hydrostatic Test of Unit #2.

During the hydrostatic test, the Project Team strictly implemented the approved work procedure. The system maintained steadily for 20-minute duration under 1.5 times working pressure before being safely reduced to operating pressure. Throughout testing, all equipment operated steadily without weld leakage or deformation, and with positive seal integrity of valves and normal parameters. All indicators complied with design specifications and it achieved a first-time test success finally.

TheProject, located in Aboisso Departmentand approximately 100 kilometers east of Abidjan, is the largest biomass power plant under construction in West Africa. Upon completion, it will facilitate energy transitionand contribute toecological conservationof Côte d'Ivoire. Throughout construction and operation, the Project will generateover 1,000 full-time jobswhile providingsupplementary incomefor12,000 smallholder palm planters, thereby effectively promotinglocal employment and development.
