On July 28, the Cabinda Port Maritime Passenger Terminal in Angola, constructed by China Gezhouba Group Co., Ltd. (CGGC) under China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd., was awarded a "Certificate of Honor" by the Cabinda Port Authority in recognition of the professionalism and excellent contract fulfillment demonstrated by the company in the construction of the terminal.

The Cabinda Port Authority spoke highly of the capabilities demonstrated by CGGC in overcoming complex technical challenges and various difficulties during project execution, fully affirmed the high-quality completion of construction tasks by the project team, and expressed high appreciation for the achievements in the project construction. It further demonstrates the responsibility of Chinese central enterprises in promoting infrastructure cooperation and serving local economic and social development under the Belt and Road Initiative.

The Cabinda Port Maritime Passenger Terminal is a vital water transport infrastructure project in Cabinda, Angola. Upon completion, Cabinda has ended its long reliance on air transportation for connecting with other regions of Angola, and a new safe, efficient and convenient maritime passenger transport corridor has been built locally. It has become a key transportation hub serving residents' daily travel, notably improving the regional comprehensive transport conditions in Angola, and is of positive significance for promoting the economic and social development in Cabinda Province as well as regional connectivity.
